I realize this outfit is not out of the ordinary. I’ve worn something like this on several occasions. But I keep being drawn to it. I feel good in it and it’s comfortable and easy to wear. Sometimes I go with a few more accessories, today I’m pretty minimal. I guess I just do whatever feels right in the moment.

I only wore this outfit in the morning though. We got some more rain today. My mom told me today that so far, the US has had 700 tornados touch ground and it’s only April. Last year total we only saw 200! Is that amazing or what!? Thank goodness we’ve been untouched, but our airport was shut down a couple of days from the tornados that hit St. Louis on Friday.

Also, check out this awesome watering can I found on my friends front porch! Isn’t it amazing? It’s a piggy! I wish you could all know this friend because she’s amazing and she likes things like Tofu & Bacon action figure sets and her nickname is “Sparkle” because she’s always got something glittery on and she’s about to have the most amazing wedding of the year (she even included mad-libs on her RSVP card!). I’m so going and I’m so going to show it off to you guys in a couple weeks here. I’m so excited.

Birthday Princess

So this weekend I took my 7 year-old niece out shopping for her birthday! It was so much fun. We went out for ice cream, and then headed off to H&M and Gap Kids.  I really wanted to go to Gap Kids because they had this Skirt that quite frankly, I want. I was really happy when she picked it up and had to have it. 🙂 I’m totally living vicariously through her. Hope she doesn’t mind!

Then on the way home, she and I talked through what we were going to wear the next day at her party. She told me I had to wear my gold dress (check out this total look alike!). I was a little over dressed for the party, but so was my niece, so it all worked out. I still love playing dress up!
