Guess what Bob got for his birthday. A bike. Well, I had so much fun on vacation riding bikes with him that I couldn’t just let him ride around town without me! So we went and bought me a cheap bike. It really is a cheap bike as the gears don’t change like they probably should, but I don’t really care.

So we went for a little neighborhood bike ride and it was great. And don’t worry, I changed before the real riding was done. Bob’s schooled me on how you should not wear wide leg pants (or heels) while riding bikes. 🙂

Shorts For Summer

A while ago I was looking at The Sartorialist getting my daily fix and he had this photo of Garance Dore up:

Then I saw this (which could be a skirt, but could also be shorts):

I totally fell in love with these shorts, but knew that Bob wouldn’t let me wear his shorts and he didn’t have any shorts that I’d really want to borrow anyway, so I kind of put it in the back of my mind…until, I saw these:

Aren’t they so cute! They have them in several colors and I’m for sure getting at least one pair (maybe the light pink color!). What I like about them is they’re not super short, but they’re not super long either. I really don’t love wearing shorts, but I’m liking these. They could be worn with either heels or flats with a variety of tops! I’d wear them with a silk or chambray shirt, some comfortable wedges and some chunky jewlery.

Do you ever have food that you like sometimes, but other times just kind of grosses you out? Chicken is like this for me. I would say I like chicken, but every once in a while I get a piece that I just can’t finish. I like my chicken real thin and if there’s even a hit of funny business (like a piece of fat that I didn’t see) going on, I’m out. For Bob, it’s eggs.

Well, last night my sister Jamey and her husband Tristan were over. Tristan told me that he’s like this with Tuna fish. I can see that. In fact, I’ve probably been grossed out by tuna before.

Well, I deal with being grossed out by stopping eating whatever it is and give it to Bob. 🙂 Husbands are good for that. But Tristan told me he just eats it faster. Spoken like a true boy.

This made me laugh out loud. He’d rather force it down than stop eating. And I have been quoted with saying, “I don’t even want to swallow what’s in my mouth.”
