Remember how I told you I wanted to make a version of this necklace? Well, I didn’t. But I watched my friend Kristi make it! She’s a jewelry maker and I bought the supplies, she did all the work. Then she dressed me up in some of her pretty clothes! So, here are a few photos from that day with a peek inside of her little stash of things just begging to be made into something!
My 4th of July
I know you’ve been dying to know what I wore yesterday! Does it get any better than this? Sunday night, we hung out with our friend Kristi (her husband was working) and we found these awesome shirts that she bedazzled. Then, we went to a party all festive. Bob even got into it. He was obviously inspired by Kittens. And yes, we actually bought scrunchies. Are they as heinous if we turned them into bows?
OK, but then I went home and changed shirts and we had a delightful evening with my parents and out seeing fireworks.
What did you do?

Last Friday I got a great opportunity to go to dinner with my oldest friends. Lindsey, who I met the first day at a new school in 2nd grade, and Katie, who Lindsey had known since birth and I finally met her in 3rd grade. There is something so comforting about these two ladies. We sort of just let it all out, let our hair down, talked about the great and not so great things going on in our lives and encouraged each other. It was so great. We don’t all talk very often, but when we do, we pick up right where we left off and I know that if I ever needed serious help, they’d be there to lend a hand. I think they know I would do the same, no matter the problem or obstacle. I’m feeling so blessed and refreshed from it.
And yes, yes this is a giant statue of a man submerging from the ground.
