River City Rascals

09.02.2010 by Linda Lotich //

Wanna know what we did last night? We went to a minor league baseball game! It was so fun. They had lawn seats, so we brought a couple of blankets and hung out. It was so fun! Really reminded me of the Sandlot for some reason. I guess it’s because I love that movie and have most of it memorized . . . The Beast, Wendy Peffercorn, Big Cheif Chew, the list goes on and on.

Anyway.

Before we left, we walked outside and there was a double full rainbow! Please tell me you’ve heard that video? It’s pretty funny. But, it really was pretty cool. A bunch of our neighbors were out enjoying the view and taking pictures just like we were.

We brought Bella to the game and she made us so many friends! Everyone loves that dog. I tell ya, if you want to strike up conversations with strangers, bring a dog to a baseball game or carry a ukelele through the airport. (I’ll save the ukelele story for another time.)

Weekend Wedding

08.31.2010 by Linda Lotich //

We had a wedding this past weekend. It was beautiful. The reception was on the Hill in St. Louis. The Hill is like a little taste of Italy. It’s basically a little town with a million authentic Italian restaurants, from gourmet to home cooked style. It’s amazing. The wedding had some serious garlic bread that’s making me want to make some of my own.

Anyway, some good things happened to me this weekend.

  1. Someone told my father-in-law that I looked like Jennifer Aniston!
OK, so I know I really don’t look like her at all. But the fact that someone would even compare me to her is absolutely amazing! Ha!
  2. While walking around on The Hill, I got whistled at! Can you imagine! That has never happened to me. And Bob was standing right there! Craziness!
  3. I got to slow dance with Bob. Hubba hubba!
  4. Even in 5 inch heels, Bob is still taller than me.
  5. I had 2 of my favorite cocktail, the Shirley Temple. Yes, it’s non-alcoholic. What can I say!
  6. Got 2 free meals!

So, how was your weekend?

Trends: Bright Colors

08.24.2010 by Linda Lotich //

My outfit’s so bright I need to wear shades! Seriously, when we took these pictures most of them came out squinty! That’s why you hardly see my face. Ha!

I was recently visiting Leigh’s Blog and saw for the second time all the neon/bright colors. So, I this morning, I decided I was going to try it out myself! Then I realized that I really don’t have many bright colors in my wardrobe! Ha ha! I took everything I had (do you believe this is all I have?) and this is what I came up with. This is how I would wear the bright color trend.

Since I obviously don’t wear bright colors much, when I came downstairs Bob said, “Wow! You’re very bright today.” Thanks honey. It was on purpose.
