Today I had a great shopping day with my friend Gertrude complete with my late Christmas gifts from her! She’s been in the Cayman Islands visiting her sister and she brought me back some goodies. If you follow me on twitter you already know about one of them. The other is this:

Beach Hat

Isn’t it great! I’ve been wanting a great straw hat for the beach and she read my mind! Well, actually I told her. 🙂  It snowed today, but I still wore my beach hat. It kept my hair dry!

Oooo! And check out my new Tom’s! I just got them and their my first pair. I think it will be the first of many. They’ve got so much more support than I thought they would. Do you have a pair?

SNOW DAY!

Totally didn’t expect the snow today, but it was kind of fun. We really only have a dusting here, but the flakes were HUGE! I put this outfit on before I knew there was snow and didn’t get to leave it on long for a couple of reasons.

  1. I didn’t want to ruin my new shoes/my feet were freezing.
  2. I had so many layers on that I started feeling suffocated! You know when you’re swimming and most of your body is under water and you start to feel like you can’t breath? Well, that’s what was going on with the 3 shirts I had on. Ha ha! It’s OK, I’m in more breathable layers now and am feeling much better.

Giggles

I was giggly today. Not sure why. Maybe it was the brownie and ice cream I had for a snack. And maybe that’s also why I feel like I want to take a nap right about now. It was so worth it though!

So, Bob and I are taking a long trip to Florida in a a couple of weeks and I’m getting so excited! I feel another 30/30 challenge coming on in the form of vacation clothes. Yippee! Got any tips for packing for 10 degree and 85 degree weather? It’ll be a challenge alright, but one that I’m so ready to take on.

It’s been pretty cold here. Well, anything below 75 is too cold for me, so 30 is just out of the question. You’re all lucky I’m not in Uggs and Sweats 24/7. I mean, I’m not even wearing socks today! I’m gonna quote my Uncle Ray right now and say,  “It is better to look good than to feel good.” He was a wise man.
