Day 20 Dinner Out

Today I got to go to the pool with my sister-in-law and my niece and nephew. The first thing my nephew told me was that we were going to be having ice cream in cones later. Yesssss! What he didn’t tell me is that he was going to ask me to play Robin (from Batman) which I am told is his favorite and it was an honor! Gosh, I love being an Aunt!

On a completely separate note, is it strange that I actually thought to myself, “Gosh! I haven’t been to Target in a long time!” I tend to think my life is made much better by Target. If I’m having a bad day, it is so therapeutic to go to Target and just wander the aisles. Please don’t tell me I’m the only one! I want to go there so bad, but I think I want to check out the clothing situation and I’m on a spending freeze for another 10 days. Hope I can make it!

And yes, I did totally copy off My Edit and tie up my dress. What can I say? She’s full of good ideas!

Day 18 Swings!

Today was pretty much a good day for me. I got to swing (which I’ve decided is one of my all time favorite things to do), I had a fresh tomato on my sandwich at lunch, we ate the first cucumber from our garden, I got the plaid phone cover I ordered for my new phone AND the InStyle Makeover magazine in the mail, and I had some Breyers ice cream on top of a brownie! Doesn’t that sound like an amazing day? Well, it was. Oh, I forgot to say that I got in a good nap and re-watched The Bachelorette, Men Tell All with my mom. And my mother-in-law bought us dinner. Wow! Busy day!

So, what have you been up to? Hope you’ve had a good day too.

And, did you know it’s Jill’s (from The Good Life For Less) birthday? I think she’s pretty much amazing. Her blog is adorable, she’s adorable, and she manages all this with 2 kids and a husband! I want to be her when I grow up!

Day 16 Working From Home

Most days we just lay around the castle . . .

Ok, it’s not a castle. Just our first home. But sometimes I go nowhere all day! Today I was going stir crazy and wanted to go somewhere, so I picked up my mom and we drove to the humane society. I want a dog so bad! But I’m kind of picky about what I want, so I’m not sure when I’ll get it. Ah well.

This belt I bought for Bob, but it was too small on him, so I kept it for myself. I like the rugged look. My friend Tracy gets a lot of her accessories from the men’s side of H&M! Have you looked at their accessories? They’re very feminine actually. Takes a special guy to pull off some of those looks!
