Weekend In Chicago

So last weekend, Jill and I got to meet in person (in Chicago) for the first time! She is just as great as I imagined she would be. We shared a hotel room and passed clothes back and forth between dressing rooms, ate some yummy food, got some great coffee and tea bevvies, and got a little teary when we had to leave each other. Hopefully, we’ll be able to do this every year, or more often! I feel like I gained a new friend. Just so sad she lives so far away.

She got way more clothes than I did. I, well, I am having buyers remorse (not sure what’s wrong with me!) and am going to return half of the things I bought. But I don’t even care. I wasn’t really there to shop. So, I guess you could say I left getting exactly what I went for . . . a new friend.

Fondue Party at The Melting Pot

Have you guys ever had fondue? Well, I had my first fondue dinner this past Wednesday night. It was pretty fun. My sister-in-law has been organizing these nights once a month for us girls to get together and just have ourselves some fun. I whipped out my camera and got lots of questions if I was going to post about it. So, I thought I’d ask ’em if they wanted me to. I basically got yelled at, ” YEAH!”

So, then pretty much threatened my life if I didn’t tell you peeps what wonderful gals they all are. Especailly my sis-in-law (the blond one. She is Crazy!) So, to to keep my life, I thought I’d share some fun photos.

It’s SPRING! Aren’t the colors amazing!? I wore this on Sunday to church and to celebrate Bob’s grandpa’s 88th Birthday! It was a beautiful day.

OK, so I don’t know about you, but I’m the worlds best returner. I buy items and then return them before I even get home. You know, when you’ve got a tight budget, sometimes you have to think of which item best suits your needs and sometimes, it’s not the item that you just bought.

Am I the only one who does this? I know I’m not.

Today my friend texted me and said, “So I kinda had my eye on that pale pink military jacket at H&M and then I saw the girl from Atlantic-Pacific wearing it and today is such a perfect day to wear it so I just went and got it…and I’m cancelling my eyebrow appt. 🙂 I decided I’d rather have the jacket.”

Ha ha! Totally made me laugh out loud. Only because it speaks to how my mind works! Et tu?
