Yesterday I woke up really early and while Bob slept, I got some stuff done! It felt great. One of the things I got done was ironing. I really only ironed 3 items, but when Bob found his ironed pants he was so happy. He asked me if I’d iron all of his clothes and so I decided to make him a deal! Heh Heh Heh Heh!
I told him I’d iron all his clothes if he vacuumed the house and mopped the floors once a week. I’m pretty sure I got the better deal here. But then he told me I had to remind him. What the what?
He always wants me to remind him of stuff that he should be able to remember on his own. Like shaving. Or that on trash day, the whole house should be emptied. Uh, I’m pretty sure that should just be part of the routine. I told him I didn’t have to have him remind me to do the dishes, or do the laundry, so why should I have to remind him to do the floors.
He just laughed as if to say, “You shouldn’t have to, but I just don’t want to clean them so I’m going to tell you it’s your fault if I don’t clean them in advance so I can “forget” to do them.”
I’m pretty sure this is a learned behavior from his mother. Thanks a lot, Mother-In-Law!
