So Inspired: Lauren Conrad Style Book Review

Lauren Conrad Style Book Review

For my birthday, I got the Lauren Conrad Style book. I got so much out of it that I knew I wanted to tell you guys more about it. What I loved most about the book is how practical it is. It was perfect for me. I love to be glamorous, but when it comes down to it, I’m not going to do things that make no sense for my lifestyle. For example, she doesn’t just talk about what to wear for red carpet events. She does mention red carpet events (and prom too!), but she focuses on advice that are more helpful for the masses. So, here are some of the things I got out of the book.

  1. How To Build Your Wardrobe – She talks about the key pieces you need to build an updated wardrobe. How they should fit, how to care for them, and which ones to pass on are all covered. She also talks about trends and how to test them out to find the ones that are right for you.
  2. Cleaning Out Your Closet – For some people this is easy, but for people like me, it can be a difficult process. However, she gave some tips that made it easier for me to edit my wardrobe and get things organized.
  3. Hair and Make-up – I actually did some of the things mentioned in the book!
  4. What To Pack – She gives a list of exactly what she packs for trips. She even details it down to where she’s going and how many days. Now, I know that I’ll tweak these lists when I actually pack, but it’s such a great starting point that will be so helpful.
These are just a few of the things that I loved about this book. There was really so much helpful information. I think it’s a great and easy read for anyone who is interested in learning a few extra tips on how to look good and step things up a notch.

Not sure if you’re aware of this yet, but I’m a huge fan of the singer/songwriter folk music genre. My brother once said that in order to marry into our family, you have to know all the lyrics to the James Taylor Hourglass album.Anyway, this morning, I pulled out the old Carol King Tapestry album and I’m loving it. Such Beautiful lyrics!

You’ve got to get up every morning with a smile on your face
And show the world all the love in your heart
Then people gonna treat you better
You’re gonna find, yes, you will
That you’re beautiful as you feel

Remember That Super Awesome Wedding?

11.07.2011 by Linda Lotich //

Remember that super awesome wedding I posted about back in May? Well guess what, they have a video!!! So, I asked the bride and she said it was cool if I show it to you. It was made by one of my friends and former co-worker. And he got extra cool points when he married Carol.

Anyway, here’s Kristi and Trevor’s wedding video! Hope you’re inspired by it!
