Last Night’s Party

Yea! Last night I had my launch party as a Stella and Dot Stylist and though I completely forgot to take any photos (how lame!) I did get one of my sweet little set up. This was before my sponsor came in with about 3x as much stuff and made it look like a real store! ha! This was kind of a lot of fun! I was surprised that I enjoyed it all so much. It got kind of crazy, but I have such great friends and family who came out to support me and am feeling very loved this morning.

This Christina Link Bracelet seemed to be one of the most popular items of the night. It reminds me of this one from J.Crew, but is less than half the price! And is a bit more dainty and perfect for everyday. Isn’t it so sweet?! I didn’t have one before, but I’m pretty sure I’ll be ordering it today.

It’s Colder Than It Looks

I am dressed like it’s in the 70’s or at least the 60’s, but actually you could see my breath—cold and rainy and windy.I always wonder when I see other bloggers in their outfit posts, what the weather was really like. Before my friend Gertrude snapped these pics she said, “Try not to look so cold.”

This night, we went out for my friend Tracy’s birthday! I feel like I’m celebrating someone’s birthday every week and I love it! I love giving presents, I love spending time with people who are dear to me, and I love not cooking and cleaning up after. Ha! And even though I wasn’t supposed to, I snuck a few bites of the best dessert I’ve had in a while. Brio does it right.

My Best Friend’s Wedding

I’m sorry I have been MIA for the past few days, but I am still recovering from my best friend‘s wedding! It was such a beautiful event and the weather couldn’t have been more perfect! The whole week before it was in the 40’s, cloudy, and felt freezing cold. The day after it snowed 12 inches! And the wedding day was a warm 50 with not a cloud in the sky! Thank you Jesus! It’s pretty amazing what prayer can do.

Anyway, this is what I wore. The bride choose my dress and complimented it with this gorgeous scarf (a bridesmaids gift). After the ceremony and photos (which I can’t wait to share more of!) I threw on a mint cardigan which went perfectly with my scarf!

All in all, it was a pretty fairy tale event which I was so happy to be part of. I loved getting to know the friends who my best friend has chosen to place strategically in her life. And I saw the legacy of love passed down from her parents to her and all her siblings. I love seeing weddings of people who really are in love and aren’t just getting married so they can have a wedding. It is a beautiful sight. And I just found this video where you can hear their vows and see them frolicking as husband and wife.

Now, I’m thinking of wearing this dress for Easter with a denim jacket over it like this. What do you think?
