Thank you for coming out with more wonderful summer clothes. I hate that I keep getting fall clothes shoved in my face while it’s 100 degrees outside. We’ve still got 2 1/2 months left of summer heat and I’m glad I can count on you to keep me happy with beautiful shorts and sweet little dresses.

I can not tell a lie. While I’ve wanted them for a while, I was completely inspired to pull the trigger because of this girl:
My only problem is that it’s 100 degrees outside. And it hasn’t rained in about 2 weeks. Ahem.
So I’ve been wearing them around the house, taking them off every so often to keep my feet from spontaneously combusting. I haven’t yet decided if they’re rubbing my ankle weird or not. So in the meantime, I’m praying it doesn’t rain until I decide so I won’t be tempted to wear them outside if I’m only gonna wear them once. Thoughts?

So, I got this dress last summer and I love it. I’ve only worn it a handful of times because 1) Bob thinks it looks like a nighty if I wear it without pants, and 2) It’s really kind of short and see-through, And 3)how many times can you wear this with jeans before it’s just boring. I always wondered if I should wear them with leggings, but never felt fully confident in that (leggings still frighten me!), so I just never even tried it on.
Well, on Sunday I saw someone wearing almost the exact same thing and I thought, “Dang! She looks pretty cute!” Then I realized I had the same items in my closet and I should go for it! So I did. And this is the end result. And I kind of love it. And I’m sad that I had nowhere to go today . . . So I decided to throw it on again the next day since I had a girls night out…
Sometimes, you just need a little confidence.
