Dress Up For A Night Out

I went to dinner with a few of my girls the other night. Our standard uniform is jeans and heels, but I really wanted to wear this dress. I mean, it’s amazing! I got it to wear to my sister-in-laws wedding last November in Sarasota, FL. Hello destination wedding! In case you’re wondering, it was amazing!

But I digress. I forced all the girls to dress up and I’m so glad I did.

Doesn’t everyone look great! These are my friends from left to right: Allie, me, Anna, and Gertrude.

Dinner was amazing. Yummy salad and soup and fried spinach! I love good food! Seriously!

In other news, I tried on the New York and Co. outfit that I talked about and it was pretty cute with a belt on. But, unfortunately, I think I’d only wear those two pieces together and never separated from each other. I just don’t think they’d look good. So, I put them back and walked away. Darn. But I did find some things to put on my birthday wish list! I’ll share them with you soon!

Big Earrings

I don’t really like big earrings. I guess I feel like they don’t suit my style. But when I saw these at American Eagle, I had to have them. I’ve only worn them a few times because I really have to have the right attitude, but I love them every time I wear them. Maybe it’s because my hair is shorter and pretty thin. You can see studs really well. My friend Gertrude has big red hair and most earrings, dangly or not, get lost in her hair.

Trends: Bright Colors

My outfit’s so bright I need to wear shades! Seriously, when we took these pictures most of them came out squinty! That’s why you hardly see my face. Ha!

I was recently visiting Leigh’s Blog and saw for the second time all the neon/bright colors. So, I this morning, I decided I was going to try it out myself! Then I realized that I really don’t have many bright colors in my wardrobe! Ha ha! I took everything I had (do you believe this is all I have?) and this is what I came up with. This is how I would wear the bright color trend.

Since I obviously don’t wear bright colors much, when I came downstairs Bob said, “Wow! You’re very bright today.” Thanks honey. It was on purpose.
