See this skirt? This was not my doing. It was a gift. I probably would have seen this on the rack and thought, “Oh, that’s cute, but I could never wear that.” and that would have been the end of that. I was never given this choice. One of my best friends, Tracy, bought it for me. And let me tell you, I’m SOOOOOO glad she did! Sometimes I just need a little push to do something that I wouldn’t normally do, but actually love.

I hate the fact that I have inhibitions, but I do. But I love the fact that I have surrounded myself with people who help me break those barriers…even if they don’t know it. So here’s to you, Tracy! Thank you!

Thursday Latelies: Fireplace and Snow Boots

After watching the video I realized a couple things:

  1. You could see the crown molding the whole time! Ha ha! Looks great, doesn’t it?
  2. I never finished the story about my old snow boots! The toe had a hard plastic on them and they got stepped on and the plastic cracked and they lost their water-proof status. That’s why I wanted a new pair.
  3. My vacuum cleaner is showing in the background. See, that’s how messy things are up in here.
Now, on to the products!
  1. This is our new fireplace in case you want one too. It’s one of the only ones that we found that came in white. And so far I LOVE this thing!
  2. Here are my new favorite snow boots. They’re really comfy!

Are y’all aware that the St. Louis Cardinals are on their way to the World Series! Yippee! Not that I am a huge sports fan, but because Bob played baseball growing up, I have fun watching it with him and letting him teach me about it. And even though I usually talk to a friend during the games, it’s still fun to watch them win. So this is my official Cardinals outfit.

Ok, moving on…to jewelry. So, we’ve been over this before, but when I get stuck on something, I get stuck on it. And right now, I’m stuck on this watch/bracelet combo. I am wearing it with everything! And these necklaces too (when they apply). Do you do this? Sometimes I like the variety, but right now, I just can’t get past the way this looks.
