Christmas is only 19 days away! Yippee! I’m really excited. I’ve started shopping, but I’ve still got so much more to do. This week is busy, but I’m sure that things are not going to slow down, so I’m making a list and getting things done one by one. I have had to make a conscious effort to not get stressed since I seem to always get stressed this time of year. I know, I’m not the only one. So, who wants to join me in my quest not to be stressed during Christmas? Let’s just be excited instead. K?

This is Bella’s favorite toy. It was her first toy and it is her favorite. She will sit and just hold it in her mouth for 10 minutes sometimes. I’m not kidding. She carries the thing around like a security blanket and it’s so cute. We even bought a few more of them because the original got so beat up and she loves them all the same. If she plays with one and sees another laying around, she’ll pick it up and play with that one too. Is that not hilarious? She’s doing it right now!
When we first got Bella, my friend told me that if we could make it a year and a half with her, she’d be the best dog ever. And I think she’s right. Lately I’ve just been really realizing how much better my life is with her in it. I think it was the perfect combination of the right time and the right dog.
Alright, I’ll stop talking about my dog now. All I’m saying is that if you’re on the fence about getting a dog, get one!

And I’ll be wearing it to at least one holiday party (assuming it fits).

How was your weekend, folks? I drank a lot of hot chocolate, watched “National Lampoons Christmas Vacation” for the first time (and yes, I am serious, Clark…) with my sister-in-law, and got some coffee with my mother-in-law, and went to lunch with a good friend! Action packed and fun! We also had time to work on some home improvement projects. Dang! We were busy. But it was really great.
What did you ladies do?

OK, guilty. I said I wasn’t going to shop, but I did. I bought this necklace (and one other one because it was $5). See, I had to go to a wedding, and unlike most of the female population, I care about freezing my num nums off. So I chose to wear a dress with sleeves that have an actual chance of keeping me warm. Only problem, no necklace.
Now, I’m not saying what I did was right, but I had my eye on this one for over a month, and this seemed like the perfect opportunity to buy it and actually put it to use. In other words, I don’t feel bad about it for one second.
(oh, and the necklace is from Target, but I couldn’t find it online. Here’s something similar.)

Such cuteness! Would make a great gift! You can find it here.
